S.I.P.S. means Scalable - you configure a battery power system, from 100 Wh to 12 kWh stored energy, using Modtech's EM-100 lithium-ion battery pack, the basic energy building block of the S.I.P.S. system. Next, choose high-efficiency power converters from an assortment of AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC conversion modules. Finally, choose one of our rugged packaging options and assemble the optimal number of energy modules and the power converters you need to complete an intelligent, portable power supply, scaled to your application.

S.I.P.S. is Intelligent - incorporating advanced, micro-power microcontroller technology at every layer. For example, the EM-100 energy module provides lithium ion protection and optimization, monitors voltage, current, temperature, and much more. The ESS Energy SubSystem has smart receptacles for up to 32 EM-100 modules. PCCU Power Conversion and Control Units control up to 4 ESS's. This allows one (1) to 128 EM-100 modules to energize a single power conversion station. Modtech's CLCS Cabinet Level Charger System connects up to 32 ESS's to automatically charge and maintain hundreds of EM-100 battery packs. Last but not least, the SIPSNET TM management system allows you to monitor and manage each and every S.I.P.S. component using a web browser over any IP network. You're never in the dark about runtime or status when S.I.P.S. is powering your application.
